The 2008 meet was dubbed the "Year of the Llamacorn" in honor of the strange pinata which is used traditionally at every meet. This meet also featured the classic MD traditions of the scooter race, live auction, and custom contest. This year's theme was "Ponies of the Zodiac," and Wyndsilver took first place with her custom Pisces.
Some unique memories from this year were RoseRebellion's huggable custom plush Firefly, and wart's enormous 4-foot tall Care Bear plush that she had up for sale. I didn't think they were ever made that big!
The day before the meet, and because their flights came in early, Anuba, RoseRebellion, and I took a field trip to my family's farm and visited with some real horses (and a mule!). Look below for pictures. That mule has quite a personality!
