as compiled by the hostess and staff of the annual Maryland Pony Meets
The Maryland Pony Meet staff goes to great lengths to see
that every precaution is taken to ensure the safest and most comfortable
environment possible. While the staff
does its utmost to ensure this trend continues, both the staff and the hostess
cannot be held individually responsible for the actions of a meet
attendee, be they collector or guest. In the event that something undesirable occurs, we will do our best
to rectify the problem and ensure a just and fair result follows, but cannot be
held responsible for persons or their property.
Every transaction is expected to be fulfilled as fairly and peaceably as
possible on the parts of both sellers and buyers. Stealing or scamming is
absolutely prohibited. Anyone partaking in illegal or unjust activity will be expelled from the meet and
disallowed to return to future meets. The person(s) will also be reported to the online
collecting communities, and/or local law enforcement.
All attendees are expected to treat each other with courtesy
and respect. Harassing a fellow attendee is against the rules, and will result in the expulsion and banning of that individual from future meets.
Much of the meet is about sharing. If you have items you
would prefer others only look at and not touch, either label them as such or
bring something simple like a plastic case to display them in. Similarly, if
you are an artist and decide to bring work that has a mature theme with you, please keep
your sketchbooks closed and labeled appropriately, out of reach of small hands,
with the younger attendees in mind. It is recommended all artwork brought to the meet be as G-rated as possible.
Collectors under 18 MUSTbe accompanied by a
responsible parent or guardian throughout theentire duration that the underage collector spends at the meet. Underage members may not be dropped off and retrieved later. Underage attendees may bring one guest beside that parent
or guardian; if that guest is underage as well, they are understood to likewise be the sole responsibility of the present parent or guardian. Any attendees under the age of 18 are the sole responsibility of
their designated parent or guardian and are not the responsibility of the
hostess or staff throughout the entirety of the MD Pony Meets.
If you decide to bring small children with you, that child is expected to be well behaved, as there will be many valuable and fragile things present and within arms reach. Overly disruptive or uncontrollable children will be asked to leave along with their parent(s) or guardian(s).
There is a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol at
the pony meets. Anyone found acting against this rule will be asked to leave
and not permitted to return to future meets. Smoking is outside
only, away from other collectors and merchandise, where there are safe receptacles provided.
The MD Pony Meet is a private event intended exclusively for a tightly knit community of collectors of My Little Pony products. The MD Pony Meet Committee reserves the right to deny any applicant at any time, for any reason. Rules and Regulations are also subject to change as the need becomes apparent.
If at any time there are questions or concerns about these rules and regulations,
contact the meet hostess at MDPonyMeet@Gmail.com.
